Buffalo mozzarella is back on the promotion road

Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO is back on the road in Italy and abroad. With the arrival of spring, the fairs and events in which the protection Consortium participates also restart with the aim of spreading knowledge and the use of buffalo mozzarella.

The Consortium continues to invest in the growth of the main PDO dairy product of central and southern Italy,” says the President of the protection Consortium, Domenico Raimondo. We will take the extraordinary versatility of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO on the road, recounting its characteristics and very strong link with our territory, and proposing it in a contemporary key thanks to pairings with other excellent foods.”

THE EVENTS PROGRAM

The program of initiatives starts today, from the International Food & Drink Event (Ife) in London. The Consortium is present with a stand within the Italian Trade Agency’s collective that launches the “La Verde Vita” (Green Life) promotion campaign, dedicated to the sustainability of Italian food excellencies. Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO will attend the cooking-show area called “Teatro delle Sostenibilità” (Theater of Sustainability), dedicated to products with designation of origin.

The Consortium will return soon after to Italy at Cibus Connecting Italy (Parma, March 29-30), the event dedicated to food operators and professionals with an eye toward the future and innovation. Here buffalo mozzarella Consortium will bring the Mozza-Mobile, a caravan set up to make the onboard taste experience even more original.

At Vinitaly (Verona, April 2-5) the partnership between Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO and the Prosecco Doc Consortium is renewed. The program will include joint tastings between different kinds of buffalo mozzarella and Prosecco (classic, rosé, dry, and extra dry).

Next up Formaggi in Villa (April 14-17) will kick off, an evocative event among the streets and medieval walls of Cittadella, in the province of Padua. The event is dedicated to the best Italian cheeses, and the Consortia for the protection of Ricotta di Bufala Campana PDO and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO will be present together, offering live demonstrations and guided tours.

In May it will be the turn of Tuttofood (Milan, May 8-11), the agribusiness fair that has become an international reference point for discovering the future of the food industry. The buffalo mozzarella Consortium’s exhibition space will be in synergy with Pasta di Gragnano PGI, with a large kitchen area and a series of initiatives that will enliven the Milanese event.
