Coppa Piacentina PDO, Pancetta Piacentina PDO, and Salame Piacentino PDO were in the spotlight at “The Italian Show” in Munich, held on March 24 at the Eisbach Studios (STUDIO N°2). Organized by the non-profit international network I Love Italian Food, the event caters to Horeca professionals and is dedicated to promoting the global reach of Made in Italy products. The event attracted a diverse range of industry experts and enthusiasts, including several trade journalists, who visited the three PDO Salumi Piacentini Consortium’s stand. Notably, Michelin two-star chef Gennaro Esposito praised the exceptional quality of these products after sampling them. During the event, Chef Paco Zanobini took to the central stage, where he showcased how these traditional cold cuts can be incorporated into innovative culinary dishes.
“This was a key opportunity to introduce the unique value of our products to international markets,” said Antonio Grossetti, President of the Consortium for the protection and promotion of Salumi Piacentini. “The direct engagement with German Horeca professionals allowed us to highlight the distinctive qualities of Coppa Piacentina PDO, Salame Piacentino PDO, and Pancetta Piacentina PDO.”
