With its latest initiative, named “In Europe, There’s a Cheese That’s Naturally Good and Unique,” Pecorino Romano PDO is launching an ambitious promotional push in Italy and Germany for 2024–2027. Emphasizing the cheese’s remarkable versatility, the campaign introduces three gourmet recipes crafted by chef Danilo Angè.
Funded by the Pecorino Romano PDO Protection Consortium and the European Union, this project seeks to spotlight Pecorino Romano’s distinctive qualities through tailored strategies in these two pivotal markets. Combining culinary tradition, cultural depth, and a commitment to sustainability, the initiative positions Pecorino Romano PDO as not merely an ingredient, but as the star of a rich gastronomic experience. The campaign will encompass educational events, tastings, and collaborations with chefs and food bloggers, all aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation for this storied cheese among a broadening audience.
