According to the latest Ismea-Qualivita report, within the top-5 of the Italian cured meat supply chains Bresaola della Valtellina PGI is the one that was most affected by the pandemic in 2020. In fact, its certified production decreased by -8.8%, while its consumer value dropped by -7.5% to 454 million euros.

The market is currently grappling with a number of critical issues, starting with rising costs for raw materials, energy, and packaging.
