THE WORLD OF ITALIAN PDOs, PGIs CELEBRATES
“This is excellent news for the whole of Made in Italy F&B, which allows Italian PDOs and PGIs and the Protection Consortia to breathe a sigh of relief,” – said Cesare Baldrighi, president of Italian GIs producers organization Origin Italia. “We now hope that the newfound dialogue between the United States and Europe will lead to a solution on duties, to allow the entire PDOs and PGIs supply chain to get out of this very complicated phase. As if that were not enough, it has in fact been aggravated also by the heavy consequences of the Covid-19 emergency and the worldwide closure of Ho. Re. Ca. channels” – Baldrighi said.
