Granoro Showcases 100% Puglia-Made Pasta at SIAL 2024

In the sun-drenched fields of Puglia, southern Italy begins the journey of Granoro, one of the country’s leading producers of 100% Puglia-made pasta. Since the company’s founding, this journey has been defined by passion, innovation, and a deep commitment to sustainability.

From October 19 to 23, Granoro will bring this story of excellence to the Paris International Food Exhibition (SIAL), a premier global stage for the agri-food industry, where the company will showcase its premium and organic product lines.

Present at Hall 1, Pavilion E046, Granoro’s goal is clear: to highlight its commitment to a more sustainable and traceable future. Central to this display is the “Granoro Dedicato” line, made exclusively with wheat grown in Puglia. This supply chain project centers on the region, its farmers, and sustainable agricultural practices.

By fostering close collaboration with farmers, Granoro ensures a product of the highest quality, fully traceable from field to fork through blockchain technology and DNV’s My Story solution. Consumers can scan a QR code on the packaging to track every step of production, from the geolocation of the wheat field to the harvest.

The “Granoro Dedicato” line embodies the flavors of the region and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Granoro’s sustainability efforts are evident in concrete measures such as the recyclable packaging for its “Dedicato” and “Biologica” lines. The packaging, made from FSC-certified recyclable paper, reduces plastic use by 35% per package and lowers CO2 emissions.

Alongside the “Dedicato” line, Granoro will present its “Linea Bio,” made from Italian-grown organic durum wheat. This range reflects the company’s blend of tradition and innovation, drawing on ancient grains to promote biodiversity and preserve Italy’s agricultural heritage—a return to roots with a focus on the future.

Granoro has been a long-time participant at SIAL, and its international expansion continues to gain momentum. “Exports of our products increased significantly in the first eight months of 2024, with an overall growth of 18% in foreign markets,” says Michele Dell’Aquila, Granoro’s export manager. “This positive trend spans our core product lines, including Classici, Linea Dedicato, Linea Biologica, and Gluten-Free, reflecting rising demand for high-quality, sustainable pasta products.”
