Granoro gets the “Pesticide Free and Glyphosate Free” certification

Dedicato 100% Puglia, the first and only pasta supply chain made with 100% Apulian wheat launched in 2012 by the Italian pasta company Granoro, got a new food safety certification. From today, in fact, Granoro Dedicato brand products are “Pesticide Free and Glyphosate Free” certified.

The Apulian pasta company announced it speaking of “an impartial certification since it is conducted by a third party (DNV-GL), aimed at ensuring the absence of residues of plant protection products through careful and intense analytical monitoring throughout the production chain, from the field to the pasta pack. Thanks to this certification Granoro goes beyond the current food safety regulations, offering pasta that is without pesticide residues such as glyphosate.”

THE PECULIARITIES OF A SPECIAL PASTA

“The exclusive use of Apulian durum wheat – explain the companyis a great advantage as the best Italian durum wheat, which matures naturally in the sun without the use of chemicals, has always been grown in this region. Apulia is the land that gave rise to durum wheat. Due to its climatic conditions it is the ideal area where the development of certain pathogens such as mycotoxins is limited. This certification is the crowning achievement of the work and commitment that our farmers and agronomists carry out every day, respecting the Dedicato production regulations and the guidelines for a healthy and correct application of good cultivation practices.”

The “Pesticide Free and Glyphosate Free” certification adds to those already held by Granoro, such as ISO 22005 and Prodotti di Qualità Puglia. Together, they ensure the traceability of wheat from field to table and the proper application of good production practices.
