Acetaia Giusti hits all-time high turnover in 2023

Acetaia Giusti concluded 2023 with a record-breaking turnover of 17 million euros, marking an unprecedented achievement for this historic Italian company. With a rich heritage spanning 400 years and the esteemed title of the oldest producer of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, last year Acetaia Giusti witnessed a remarkable surge in business volume, boasting a +25% increase from 2022 and an impressive +57% growth compared to 2021. Moreover, the company secured the coveted “Great Place to Work” recognition, bestowed by the eponymous research, technology, and organizational consulting entity that meticulously assesses workplace environments through the lens of employee feedback.

The surge in the brand’s revenue can be attributed to substantial expansions both within the Italian market and on the international stage. The company, generating a substantial 60% of its overall turnover abroad, strategically targets key markets. Among the 80 countries in Acetaia Giusti’s export portfolio, Germany commands a significant 30%, followed by the United States (at 21%), and South Korea (16%). These markets, including a recent foray into China, have experienced noteworthy growth. Simultaneously, Casa Giusti, encompassing the Giusti Museum, Ancient Vinegar Cellars, and a dedicated tasting area, witnessed a surge in visits, surpassing 30,000 in 2023, with 70% of the visitors hailing from abroad.

ACETAIA GIUSTI’S 2023 PERFORMANCE

The strategic inauguration of a state-of-the-art production facility spanning approximately 3,000 square meters, allocated for warehousing and production, played a pivotal role in fortifying Acetaia Giusti’s trajectory. This significant investment, totaling 10 million euros, underscored the company’s commitment to infrastructure development.

Claudio Stefani, CEO of Acetaia Giusti, remarked, “2023 has been a pivotal year for us. We’ve implemented streamlined processes and reinforced our organizational structure, enabling us to strategically support an organic and comprehensive growth plan across diverse markets while exploring new avenues.”

WORK-LIFE BALANCE INITIATIVES

An integral aspect of Acetaia Giusti’s ethos revolves around prioritizing the well-being of its workforce. Employee numbers surged by +30% in 2023, a testament to the company’s commitment to fostering a thriving workplace culture. Rigorous measures to uphold a healthy work-life balance include flexible working hours and an intricate welfare plan. These initiatives culminated in Acetaia Giusti achieving Great Place to Work certification at the close of the year, surpassing benchmark standards.

NEW BOUTIQUES AND E-COMMERCE STRATEGIES

Looking ahead, Acetaia Giusti sets its sights on inaugurating exclusive boutiques in Italy and advancing its e-commerce endeavors. The latter, witnessing a remarkable +70% surge in sales in 2023 compared to the preceding year, forms a key focal point. The company aims for continued export growth, with particular emphasis on expanding its presence in the United States and Asia.
