New York’s third location for Eataly opened on Nov. 25 in SoHo, at 200 Lafayette Street (Broome Street). The SoHo location is 20,000 square feet; in addition to the market, it features a 200-seat restaurant (Il Ristorante) and an all-day cafe (La Caffetteria).
At the restaurant, the menu includes antipasti, salads, pasta (including fancy dishes like tajarin pasta with truffles shaved tableside), Neapolitan-style pizza, as well as seafood, meats, and vegetarian mains. The wine list is all-Italian, featuring 300 bottles along with cocktails, from Negroni to espresso Martini. The cafe offers coffee, pastries, and Roman-style pizza.
The market side of the establishment sells groceries like sauces, oils, pasta, and condiments, including some new Eataly’s private label products. Fresh food like produce, meats, seafood, cheeses, and charcuterie is all prepackaged. Tommaso Brusò, the new CEO of Eataly North America, said another 20 Eatalys are planned for North America in the next five years.
