Renowned as a paragon of Made in Italy excellence in the realms of pastry and baked goods, Sandro Ferretti is fortifying his international triumph. Since November 15, 2023, the distinguished artisanal panettone crafted by the Maestro pastry chef and esteemed member of AMPI (Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani) graces the shelves of Marks & Spencer (M&S) establishments for the first time. M&S, a London-based multinational specializing in retail, is synonymous with Ferretti’s extensive and impactful collaboration.

The ongoing provision encompasses 5,000 “Classico” flavor panettone, elegantly packaged and bearing the Ferretti Dessert brand. Looking forward, the partnership anticipates the creation of M&S-branded panettone, with two distinct varieties slated for production in the forthcoming years.

The inception of the collaboration between the TE-based company in Mosciano Sant’Angelo and Marks & Spencer dates back to the preceding year. Reflecting on this, Sandro Ferretti notes, “The English executives had the opportunity to savor my artisanal panettone at the 2022 edition of international trade show Cibus. Following that, they toured our facility, where they were duly impressed by the meticulous raw material selection and our demonstrated flexibility and reliability.”

ITALY’S PANETTONE CONQUERING MARKS & SPENCER

The panettone emerges as the quintessential dessert, epitomizing the meticulous precision and procedural discipline integral to the master pastry chef’s production methods. This hallmark holiday delicacy unfolds through a three-day intricate process, involving five batches absent of artificial flavors and preservatives. The exclusive leavening agent in play is the natural sourdough, meticulously cultivated by Sandro Ferretti over approximately three decades.

The strategic inclusion of Marks & Spencer stores significantly enhances Ferretti’s clientele portfolio, featuring illustrious names such as Auchan, Autogrill, Illy Spa, and SIPA (Bindi Dessert 1946). Ferretti Dessert’s global reach extends across borders, with the United Kingdom, alongside France and Switzerland, standing out as a particularly lucrative market.

Expressing his gratification, pastry chef Sandro Ferretti states, “Being chosen by Marks & Spencer is a tremendous source of satisfaction for me. It’s a widely frequented retail chain, particularly by English families. Moreover, the project foresees ongoing development in the coming years, underscoring the multinational British corporation’s confidence in our craftsmanship.”
