Monari & Federzoni is a historic Modenese company, market co-leader in Italy in the production of Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI (PGI Balsamic Vinegar of Modena), as well as condiments and beverages. The company saw its exports to China grow by +80% in 2021 compared to 2020. Within the European borders, it is in the Iberian Peninsula that the most significant growth was recorded: +63%.
These are important results for Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI, a symbol of Italian food & beverage for which Monari & Federzoni boasts a long tradition and a strong bond with the territory. In fact, in 1912, it was the first company in the sector in Italy to obtain a license to produce this precious condiment – as well as fruit vinegar, glazes, and wine vinegar.
THE SUCCESS OF BALSAMIC VINEGAR AND MONARI FEDERZONI
Balsamic vinegar of Modena is one of the most exported Italian food products in the world. Ninety-two percent of production is exported, particularly to the United States, Germany, France, and the UK, with positive trends also in the Far East (Japan and South Korea – source: Consortium for the protection of Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI). This success concerns also Monari & Federzoni, recently confirmed as the market leader in the United States with a growth of +34% in 2020 compared to 2019 (total references, retail channel).

THE NEW PRODUCT LINE
Monari & Federzoni Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI was also the protagonist of the recent Cibus and Anuga trade shows, which are both key events in the international F&B sector. The Italian company presented its wide range of products, with a particular focus on the renewal of the balsamic vinegar line. A new vision in which each product is characterized by its taste: Lively Taste, Round Taste, Full-bodied Taste, and Velvety Taste. The goal is to guide consumers in a path of knowledge, supporting them in the choice of the most suitable reference for use in the kitchen. All this promotes at the same time a greater appreciation of a precious product with a long tradition.
