The Veronesi group, an Italian company, specialized in cured meats, known for its AIA, Negroni, and Veronesi brands – has acquired Certosa Salumi. This company is based in the Emilia region and specializes in producing, aging, and packaging cured meats.
Founded in 2010 and based in the province of Parma, Certosa Salumi has a plant of over 10,000 square meters. Its production is certified for exports to the USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, and other non-EU countries. In 2020, the company achieved a total turnover of 32.6 million euros.
“We welcome with pleasure in our group this company that will allow us to strengthen our presence on the market and grow further in the delicatessen sector in which we have been operating for years – says Luigi Fasoli, CEO of Veronesi. It is a Made in Italy operation in the heart of the Emilia Food Valley, where we have already been operating for many years. Moreover, it preserves a piece of Italian know-how. For us, this is a further step towards sustainable growth, adding to the more than 100 million investments that we dedicate every year to the competitiveness of our assets along the entire production chain”, – says Fasoli.
