The consolidated revenues of Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro, an Italian cooperative specializing in the production of red preserves, increased to 338.3 million euros in 2020 with a growth rate of +10.1% compared to 2019.

Exports to EU and non-EU countries are confirmed as the backbone of the Consorzio Casalasco business. In fact, foreign sales correspond to 70% of the total turnover. Also growing strongly compared to 2019 are the subsidiaries SAC (+16.1%), and Pomì USA (+36.5%).

INVESTMENTS

The investments made in recent years, combined with a commercial strategy increasingly aimed at internationalizing the company’s profile, allowed Casalasco Group to increase the value of production in the core segment of the company’s business: simple or reconstituted tomato-based products.

POMÌ

Last year was a particularly positive year also for the Pomì brand, both in Italy (+26.2% sales growth compared to 2019) and abroad (+40%). Sales grew again on the foreign markets where it was already present: the United States, Germany, Austria and the Middle East. Also the range of products offered with new specific references increased, both for emerging and well-established markets.
