After more than two years of work and a long negotiation, the European Union and China have signed a historic agreement that provides for the mutual recognition of 100 PDO and PGI products, including iconic Gorgonzola PDO cheese.
Currently China represents the second largest market in the world for the European agri-food sector, with 12.8 billion exports of products per year. However, it will still take some time before this recognition of our excellent products enters officially into force.

“Gorgonzola has also been included in the list of 26 PDO and PGI foods and beverages that will be protected on the Chinese market. In this way we can continue our work to make this Italian excellence known and guarantee its authenticity and goodness all over the world” – Auricchio says.
