So, in the popular Italian imagination, the panino is always been identified as something good and easy. Such preamble gives better the idea about how great and challenging is the mission being carried out by Panino Giusto for more than 40 years: transform such a simple food into a great experience enjoyable all over the world crafting “The Italian Art of the Panino”.

FROM ONE LOCATION TO A GLOBAL FORMAT

The Panino Revolution began the 8th February 1979 thanks to the opening of first store in Milan. In 2010 Antonio Civita and his partner Elena Riva, after have managed 6 restaurants in 15 years as franchisors acquired the whole business.

The passion of the two new owners drove in fact Panino Giusto to be an international format counting actually 33 locations: 23 in Italy, besides Geneve, Paris, London, Tokyo, Yokohama and Hong Kong, with 550 employees, a revenue in 2019 of 35 millions euros and 1,5 millions sandwiches served.

THE POINT OF STRENGTHS

As confirmed by Antonio, a point of strength is beyond any doubt the strong Made in Italy identity: Prosciutto di Parma DPO, Speck and Bresaola, Parmigiano Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico di Modena and the collaboration with Italian Michelin starred chefs.

Thanks to the great commitment on corporate social responsibility, showed, among the others, by the 29 nationalities and the 30% of foreign workers, the use of 100% renewable energies and 90% of biodegradable packaging, at the beginning of the year, Panino Giusto reached another historical milestone becoming the first Italian B Corporation in food service.

“For the future we are elaborating a more lean concept, still focused on panini prepared at the moment but without table service and in smaller location, thinking about a possible expansion in the travel retail”.
