The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, has divulged the highly anticipated rankings for the globe’s culinary elite, spanning from No.51 to No.100. This unveiling precedes the forthcoming awards ceremony slated for June 5th in Las Vegas.

In a meticulously curated list, 1,080 discerning experts from the gastronomic realm, comprising food journalists, globally renowned chefs, and gourmands, have cast their votes. The resulting compilation showcases an eclectic array of dining establishments across all six continents.

A DEEP DIVE INTO THE NUMBERS

The roster from 51 to 100 boasts a dozen debutants hailing from eleven disparate cities, spanning from Berlin to Mumbai, Seoul to Sydney, representing dining destinations across 23 territories worldwide.

The continental breakdown reveals a rich tapestry of culinary diversity: 13 establishments from Asia, 23 from Europe, six from North America, five from South America, with one each from the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania. Noteworthy is the ascent of Italy’s Atelier Moessmer Norbert Niederkofler to the 52nd spot, while compatriot Le Calandre in Rubano (Padua) secures the 51st position. Europe claims six new entries, including Berlin’s Coda (No.62) and Brussels’ Bozar (No.63), among others.

France leads the pack with four additional entries, including Megève’s Flocons de Sel (No.76) and Paris’ Alléno Paris Au Pavillon Ledoyen (No.79). Germany boasts four representatives, with Munich’s Ernst (No.75) and Tantris (No.88) making notable appearances. Spain contributes three, including Barcelona’s Enigma (No.59) and San Sebastián’s Mugaritz (No.81).

Asia’s standout newcomers include Mumbai’s Masque (No.78), Seoul’s Mosu (No.86), and Onjium (No.96). Japan garners attention with Tokyo’s Narisawa (No.56) and Sazenka (No.93), while China’s Fu He Hui in Shanghai (No.69) makes an impression.

North America sees commendable entries from Chicago’s Smyth (No.90) and Mexico’s Fauna in Valle de Guadalupe (No.100). South America boasts Bogotá’s Leo (No.53) and Rio de Janeiro’s Lasai (No.58) among its ranks.

In the Pacific, Australia’s Saint Peter in Sydney (No.98) stands out, representing the continent’s culinary prowess.
