On May 30, Italian dairy company Inalpi hosted a delegation from Chinese dairy giant Mengniu Dairy at its headquarters in Moretta, Cuneo. Led by Director Fred Ming Duan and accompanied by Min Chang, President of BRIFF – Italian Food and Feed Promotion, the meeting aimed to position Inalpi’s dairy products at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and to forge new commercial ties with the Chinese market.

During the visit, Inalpi President Ambrogio Invernizzi guided the guests through the facility, showcasing the brand’s production excellence and innovative initiatives, including projects from its R&D center, InLab, and its environmental sustainability efforts, such as water reuse.

The partnership seeks to feature select Inalpi products among the official offerings at the XXV Winter Olympic Games while enhancing the brand’s footprint in China, facilitated by BRIFF’s efforts to promote Italian agri-food exports.

Mengniu Dairy, the second-largest dairy group in China and among the top ten globally, operates 33 plants with an annual production capacity exceeding 8.6 million tons and reported revenues of $13.7 billion in 2023. The visit garnered positive feedback from the Chinese delegation, which acknowledged the advanced technologies, production processes, and sustainable practices employed by Inalpi.

Looking ahead, an official visit to China is scheduled for late July, where Inalpi and Mengniu Dairy will further discuss their cooperation plan for Milan-Cortina 2026 and the introduction of Italian specialties into the Chinese market.
