Grana Padano, the world’s most consumed PDO cheese, and Prosecco DOC sparkling wine will grace London from June 12 to 16 in celebration of Taste of London’s twentieth anniversary. This event has evolved into a premier destination for a discerning audience keen on honoring culinary and beverage excellence. The Italian duo of distinction, facilitated by their Protection Consortia, will offer a range of experiences including masterclasses, demonstrations, and more, tailored for devoted food enthusiasts.
Attendees can anticipate tastings of Prosecco and Grana Padano PDO at the stand, alongside opportunities to partake in culinary courses and demonstrations featuring delectable dishes such as blown potatoes with asparagus, Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC mousse, as well as truffle arancini and Grana Padano PDO, and mini pizzas with zucchini, lemon, and Grana Padano.
Luca Giavi, Director of the Prosecco DOC Protection Consortium, remarks on the significance of witnessing two Italian culinary gems harmonize in one of the world’s most pivotal markets for Italy’s agri-food sector. He notes this as an exceptional chance to showcase the prowess of Italian producers and the country’s cultural richness, alongside the joy of communal dining and a diet that positively impacts quality of life.
Stefano Berni, General Director of the Grana Padano PDO Consortium, echoes this sentiment, highlighting the genuine Italian experiences on offer in London, exemplifying the conviviality and traditions that unite producers and consumers.
The participation of Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco DOC at Taste of London 2024 is made possible through support from the EU under the three-year project CC2EU “Cheers&Cheese to EU.”
