Lupo Italian Kitchen has been the winner of The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for seven years in a row (2017-2023). Needless to say, the restaurant offers an extensive list of Italian wines. Located in the beach town of Rehoboth, Delaware, Lupo serves traditional and not-so-traditional coastal Italian cuisine. The menu concept pairs Mediterranean flavors, locally caught seafood, local produce, and homemade pasta daily.
A WEEKLY ITALIAN MENU
Some of Lupo’s most popular dishes include traditional eggplant parmesan, lobster bucatini, bolognese, and whole grilled branzino. The restaurant offers some daily specials to promote the dishes and wine list. On Mondays, for $25, diners can order lasagna and a Caesar salad. On Tuesdays, it is a half-priced parm night. On Wednesdays, it is a half-priced pasta night. And finally, on Fridays, it is half-priced bottles of wine.
SIMPLE RECIPES AND AUTHENTHIC INGREDIENTS ARE KEY
It is really important for the restaurant to cook with authentic Italian products because “it allows the flavors of our locally sourced and house-made pasta to really shine. Using authentic products highlights the freshness in each dish,” said Lupo Italian Kitchen.
In terms of trends, “our customers definitely appreciate the attention to detail we take with each of our dishes. Part of our company’s vision is to create beautiful, simple food, and I think our guests really appreciate that we don’t over-complicate our dishes and we allow the ingredients to shine. We have also noticed more customers interested in our collection of craft cocktails.”
