My Cooking Box, the Italian company that first started the meal kit business in Italy, will soon bring its recipes to the German market. Founded as a start-up in 2016, today it is an SME strongly oriented to become a world ambassador of the “pleasure of Italian cooking and eating”.

German consumers’ penchant for Italian gastronomic excellence is well known. Based on this assumption, the company decided to intercept a need that makes the quality of Italian ingredients, and the service component, two essential assets. Moreover, My Cooking Box gives a taste experience and a journey through the flavors of the Italian peninsula. Recipes inspired by the culinary traditions of the different regions of Italy come with all the ingredients in the right doses, to compose dishes for true connoisseurs. My Cooking Box offers 50 recipes for those who want to cook a great chef-proof dish with their own hands: from breakfast boxes to pasta dishes, from combos such as regional dinners, from one-dish meals to desserts.

THE GOALS

Our recipes know how to evoke the atmospheres, the flavors, and the ‘Italian savoir vivre’ that Germans experience during their trips to our country,” says Chiara Rota, CEO, and Founder, My Cooking Box. “So many words typical of Italian cuisine are now part of German consumers’ gastronomic vocabulary, and some but not all Italian ingredients have entered the pantries of their kitchens. This is why we believe that providing them with a complete kit made of Italian excellent ingredients and products can bring them closer and more passionate about our way of preparing and consuming traditional dishes,” Chiara Rota says.

To intercept new German consumers, My Cooking Box has created a business unit charged with developing the market through the new e-commerce platform www.mycookingbox.de.

Although the German market business has only recently opened, several confirmations have already arrived. My Cooking Box has been chosen by large multinational companies such as Lufthansa Technik AG, Google, Porsche, Bahlsen Gmbh & Co. KG, EON Gmbh, Hapag Lloyd AG, and Helios Kliniken. To date, in the preferences of German customers Ligurian trofiette top the list, followed by Emilian tagliatelle.
