How Italian spirits can benefit from the suspension of US duties

The four-months suspension on import duties applied in 2019 by the United States on many European F&B products, including Italian aperitifs and liqueurs, makes producers breathe a sigh of relief. During the period of application of duties on Italian liquors, aperitifs and spirits, exports to the USA – which in recent years have been characterized by a growing success – collapsed by 40%, for a loss of about 65 million euros.
