Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI is still traveling around the world. Canada and China are the next steps of the Consortium’s missions abroad. The journey began on November 16 with the international mission of the Emilia Romagna Region to Canada. It was also attended by the Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI (Aceto Balsamico di Modena IGP), together with a representative of producers. The main goal was to promote the region’s high-quality food products during the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.
BALSAMIC VINEGAR PROTAGONIST IN CANADA…
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI was the protagonist in Toronto during the dinner organized in collaboration with international cuisine school ALMA at George Brown College, in Montreal, for the dinner at the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hotellerie du Quebec. Then, in Ottawa for the representative dinner at the Ambassador’s Residence with Michelin starred chef Massimo Spigaroli, and finally in Vancouver, both for the dinner at The Westin Bayshore Hotel with the event of the Italian Chamber of Commerce (today), and for the snack event cooperation with Vancity on 23 November.
… AND IN CHINA
At the same time, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI is making people talk about itself from the other side of the world, with the participation in Anufood China, in Beijing from today to November 23rd. “The China mission – explains Federico Desimoni, Director of the Protection Consortium – is a test bed for us as in that market our product is already protected by EU’s bilateral agreements. China is a difficult market, but it certainly has a great potential”. Within a shared collective space, the Consortium will offer tastings, cooking shows and various performances together with narrations of balsamic vinegar and the tradition of Modena.
