Respect for tradition, a culture of bread-making and attention to the consumer: these are some of the features that link the history of NtFood to that of its town, Altopascio, in the heart of Tuscany. This region has been known since the Middle Ages for the hospitality it showed to pilgrims travelling along the Via Francigena and for bread production. NtFood gathered the precious heritage of its surrounding area and, after years in the traditional bread-making sector, it specialised in quality gluten-free baking becoming a company of excellence in the market for intolerances and correct nutrition. This is an experience that has matured over 25 years of history with the Nutrifree brand thanks to a range of more than 100 completely gluten-free products, which aside from bread vary amongst: flour and breadcrumbs, snacks (sweet and savory), options for breakfast and typical specialties from the Italian desserts and confectionery tradition. After making their mark in Italy, the products of the Nutrifree brand have already conquered their space on the shelves of significant foreign retailers: from Migros in Switzerland to Fozzy in Ukraine, to the prestigious Sainsbury’s in the UK.
Industrial DNA
The internationalization of production processes and control of the supply chain make it possible for NtFood to stand out in the well-guarded sector of gluten-free bread and baked goods. This know-how springs from the industrial culture of the company, where 98% of the products are made in the three certified plants of the family, two in Altopascio and one in the nearby Porcari. They have an identity strategy which ensures greater safety (starting from rigorous checks on the supply chain) major flexibility, constant innovation and the continuous improvement of their offer thanks to a R&S team capable of developing innovative solutions which combine taste, nutritional quality and practicality.
Special occasions
For those who have to avoid gluten Nutrifree has its line of specialities for seasonal festivities: a wide range, rich in flavours and formats. For next Easter, for example, Nutifree already has a tasty new product: the gluten-free Colomba, in the variants classic with candied fruit and chocolate-free, both available from March 2018.
