Cibus 2017: a flexible format to connect with the world

An innovative food fair with a light format that combines the exhibition of new Italian food products and the meeting with foreign buyers, not to mention the improvement of food market strategies thanks to workshops and forums. That’s Cibus Connect 2017 formula. The fair will take place in Parma from 12 to 13 April 2017. More than 1.000 selected Italian food companies will be present, together with hundreds of buyers from USA, Asia and Europe and many Italian supply chain players. Among the exhibitors will be present a group of 100 niche manufacturers in a Slow Food reserved area. The goal is to open new market outlets for small companies which are the real “reserves” of the different territories. Cibus Connect, organised by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare, will take place on the same week as Vinitaly. Thanks to an agreement with Veronafiere, buyers from all over the world may plan to visit Vinitaly and Cibus Connect in the same days. Both events fall within the scope of the promotion and discovery of territories and companies by overseas buyers in the programme named “Discover the Authentic Italian Taste” promoted by ICE Agenzia.

A NEW FAIR – The 2017 exhibition will be organised in two pavilions with pre-positioned stands in a multifunctional area for workshops and show cooking. The first one is dedicated to fresh food, the other one to grocery. In closing the exhibition, in both days, there will be a forum focused on “Made in Italy food positioning compared with the international evolving of consumption”, organised by Federalimentare and Fiere di Parma with the support of Barilla Center Food Nutrition and the technical contribution of The European House – Ambrosetti. Among the speakers there will be Guido Barilla, Marco Lavazza, Giampiero Calzolari (Granarolo) Francesco Mutti, Alberto Balocco, Paolo Zanetti and Jean Marc Bernier. Experts in the field like Valerio De Molli, TEH-Ambrosetti Managing Partner, and many top level executive of important chain from all over the world will be present too.
