Anuga 2025: Salumi Piacentini PDO to Take Centre Stage in Cologne

From 4 to 8 October 2025, Cologne will once again host Anuga, the world’s leading trade show for food and beverages. Among the Italian highlights this year: Coppa Piacentina PDO, Pancetta Piacentina PDO, and Salame Piacentino PDO, presented by the Protection Consortium of Salumi Piacentini PDO in Pavilion 7, Stand E051.

The Consortium, which represents the only recognized European province with three PDO cured meats, Piacenza, will unveil a striking new institutional stand designed to celebrate the heritage, craftsmanship, and certified quality of its products. Past editions of Anuga—in 2021 and 2023—saw strong international interest, and the 2025 showcase promises to build on that success.

Throughout the fair, visitors—including buyers, retailers, and food professionals—will be invited to guided tastings and demonstrations. Daniele Reponi, the television personality who calls himself “part innkeeper, part charcutier,” will create original recipes that highlight the distinctive qualities of Piacenza’s salumi, bringing to life the link between product, place, and tradition.

Alongside culinary performances, Consortium representatives will lead visitors on a cultural journey through the history and geography of Piacenza, underscoring the reputation of its three PDO products as ambassadors of Italian excellence.
