Eataly, the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, has made its debut in Bahrain with the opening of a flagship store at Marassi Mall, a high-end real estate and tourism development that spans the archipelago and features luxury shops, restaurants, and beach-connected resorts.
The 800-square-metre outlet offers a mix of retail and dining experiences. La Scuola di Eataly houses fresh counters, while a quick-service corner serves gelato, coffee, pastries, pizza alla pala, and sandwiches. At its centre, La Pizza & La Pasta restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, offering fresh homemade pasta, stuffed pasta, risotto, and wood-fired pizzas, alongside an array of appetizers, salads, and grilled meat and fish dishes. A spacious outdoor terrace provides an al fresco dining option.
A spokesperson for Eataly said, “Eataly Bahrain is the ideal destination for a full immersion into Italian food and wine culture. Visitors can also take home products from the Eataly line and fresh Italian specialties, including pasta, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee, spreadable creams, chocolate, and traditional sweets from different regions of Italy.”
The launch signals Eataly’s strategic expansion into the Gulf, combining retail, casual dining, and culinary experiences to attract both local food enthusiasts and international tourists seeking authentic Italian flavours.
