In 2023, Carrefour’s global sales of Italian products soared to €1.15 billion, a 44% surge compared to 2021. This success stems from a partnership with over 11,000 Italian suppliers, including farmers and producers, who ensure the delivery of authentic, high-quality goods to consumers worldwide. Christophe Rabatel, CEO of Carrefour Italy, underscored the milestone during a meeting with Adolfo Urso, Italy’s Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy.

The meeting was an important opportunity to exchange views on the significance of Made in Italy, a cornerstone for Carrefour Italy,” Rabatel stated, adding, “We take pride in championing Made in Italy both domestically and internationally.”

Carrefour launched its ‘Carrefour for Made in Italy’ initiative in 2024, coinciding with the inaugural National Day of Made in Italy. This year, Rabatel reaffirmed the company’s commitment to celebrating the distinctive excellence of Italian food and wine as it prepares for the second edition of the national event.

I thank Minister Adolfo Urso for his support. Carrefour remains steadfast in its mission to promote and enhance Italy’s agri-food heritage, both at home and abroad,” Rabatel concluded.
