Pizza Express became also very popular, landing in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work ranking. After having embraced its new culture code – Head, Heart, Home – the company introduced its delivery platform – PEX Delivers – with over 60,000 orders to date, and overhauled its retail range, introducing a frozen offer with over 160,000 pizzas sold. It also continued its global expansion – opening the 100th international pizzeria in Bangalore, India.
The Pizza Express Club grew to two million members as the company upped its service skills “with all 10,000 team members training in our service model – FLAIR.” In this respect, the company introduced a new brand look & feel to seek the “Let There Be Flair” spotlight.
