Molino Nicoli Unveils New Cereal Range at PLMA Chicago 2025

At the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) trade show in Chicago (16–18 November), Molino Nicoli—an Italian company recognized internationally as a key partner in the better-for-you cereal category—will present a new product range developed specifically for the U.S. market.

The company stated that the directions guiding its latest developments are fully aligned with expectations from its retail partners, who are increasingly focused on American consumers’ demand for healthier eating. The new references, it said, offer “a high protein concentration designed to provide a healthy, rich, and nutritious food offering, while maintaining carefully selected flavors that match the preferences of American families.”

Molino Nicoli emphasized that all cereals used in the new products are organic and non-GMO, a result made possible by the company’s short, tightly controlled supply chain. Its network of nearby agricultural suppliers—companies with which Molino Nicoli has long-standing relationships—ensures “proper cultivation and full control from harvesting the grain to processing.” The company also highlighted that it has obtained full organic certification.

All products presented for the U.S. market are made from cereals that are 100% Made in Italy. Production takes place across three dedicated facilities—conventional, gluten-free, and allergen-free—designed to ensure constant oversight of product safety and integrity.

Positioning the United States as a central pillar of the company’s growth strategy, CEO Piero Mirra stressed the importance of maintaining a strong presence in the market. “For Molino Nicoli, having a presence in the U.S. market is strategic; already today, half of our production is destined for international markets and, in particular, in the USA we operate through our own subsidiary,” Mirra said. “Taking part in PLMA not only allows us to stay close to our customers and better understand their needs, but it also confirms our commitment to implementing our development and international growth plan.”

With demand for health-driven cereals on the rise, the company’s PLMA showcase signals its intention to expand further in the U.S. while leveraging its Italian manufacturing heritage and fully controlled supply chain.
