Andriani, the Italian food innovation company renowned for its gluten-free and plant-based offerings, has officially become a multinational group with the inauguration of its first overseas production facility in London, Ontario, Canada. The opening marks a decisive milestone in the company’s international growth and a strategic leap toward becoming a major global player in sustainable food innovation.
The total investment of €34 million underpins Andriani’s long-term strategy to reinforce its direct presence in international markets while expanding its production capacity dedicated to gluten-free and plant-based products.
A NEW HUB FOR SUSTAINABLE FOOD INNOVATION
The 5,700-square-meter facility will serve the Canadian and U.S. markets, optimizing supply chains and ensuring more responsible management of resources. The plant introduces to North America Andriani’s industrial model, built on research, quality, and innovation—pillars that define the company’s mission to lead the ongoing food transition.

With this new site, Andriani establishes a direct industrial presence in North America, positioning itself as a strategic partner for the food industry and retailers across the continent. The Canadian plant will also enable the local production of Felicia, Andriani’s flagship pasta brand made from naturally gluten-free raw materials and high-quality, innovative ingredients.
A MILESTONE IN GLOBAL GROWTH
“The opening of our first production facility marks a significant milestone in Andriani’s growth as a benefit corporation,” said Michele Andriani, President and CEO of the company. “In Canada, we have found a favorable environment to root our values and give momentum to the global vision guiding our company. The inauguration of this plant opens a new chapter in our history—one where the Italian supply chain becomes a driver of food transformation, connecting cultures and generating value.”
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AND VISION
Andriani’s international expansion has also been bolstered by the entry of NUO, the Italian investment holding company that has held approximately 26% of the group since 2022. NUO’s involvement has strengthened Andriani’s industrial foundation and strategic outlook, accelerating its development into a global enterprise.
A DYNAMIC AND SUSTAINABLE ECOSYSTEM
The investment in Canada is part of a long-term industrial strategy that looks to the future of global food markets. The country offers a dynamic and advanced environment for sustainable agri-food industries. Specifically, London’s Innovation Park has emerged as a key hub in agri-food technology thanks to its strategic position along major North American trade corridors.
Ontario, one of the world’s leading producers of legumes, provides Andriani with access to a high-quality local supply chain—further reinforcing its integrated and sustainable business model.
