Antica Pizzeria Da Michele has opened its fourth location in Japan, marking its debut in Hokkaidō. The pizzeria is situated at the entrance of Escon Field Hokkaidō, the official stadium of the Hokkaidō Nippon-Ham Fighters baseball team, in the city of Kitahiroshima.

The area, part of a growing development known as “F Village,” is emerging as a new urban destination and continues to attract national interest. The district is centred around the stadium and is currently undergoing further expansion.

This is our fourth opening in Japan, following Tokyo—our first location outside Naples—Fukuoka, and Yokohama,” said Alessandro Condurro (pictured below, first from the left), CEO of Antica Pizzeria Da Michele in the World. “Hokkaidō is one of Japan’s primary tourist destinations, making this a significant step in our expansion strategy.”

Francesco De Luca, also CEO of the group, added: “The opening in Hokkaidō reflects how strongly Japan has embraced our pizza, and how naturally our concept integrates into different cultural contexts. The pizzeria’s uniforms incorporate the official colours of the Hokkaidō Nippon-Ham Fighters, while the pizza oven—positioned near the entrance—echoes the same palette, with a prominent golden ‘F’ at its centre.”

The restaurant’s design draws on the aesthetic of the broader F Village project. Featuring plaster walls, mortar flooring, and an exposed structural ceiling, the interior evokes an industrial openness. Amber-toned wooden furnishings contrast with grey plaster, while rustic textures introduce a degree of warmth to the otherwise minimalist space.

Alongside its signature Neapolitan pizzas, the menu has been adapted to local dining culture, where pizza is often shared. The offering includes traditional Italian antipasti, pasta, and main courses.
