Host 2025 returns to Milan, showcasing Italian food excellence

From smart automation to AI-driven menus and sustainability shaping choices and consumption patterns, the hospitality and out-of-home sectors are undergoing an unprecedented transformation. To offer increasingly immersive and multisensory experiences, cutting-edge technologies are merging with design and functionality, giving rise to high-tech yet welcoming solutions.

In this dynamic context, Fiera Milano is gearing up for Host 2025, the world’s leading trade fair dedicated to the foodservice, hospitality, and food retail industries. With five months to go before the ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 17, over 1,700 exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance, including 44 percent from 54 countries. Alongside Italy, the most represented countries include Germany, Spain, France, the Netherlands, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The show will also welcome numerous newcomers from South America and Southeast Asia. Additionally, more than 700 hosted buyers from around 75 countries are expected, carefully selected with the support of ICE – Italian Trade Agency.

The spotlight is on the Bakery world with a revamped MIPPP

Host 2025 will offer a comprehensive overview of innovation across the sector, featuring focused showcases divided by supply chain affinity: Professional Catering and Bakery-Pasta-Pizza; Coffee-Tea, Bars-Coffee Machines-Vending, Gelato-Pastry; Tableware-Technology-Contract Furniture.

Standing out within this cross-sector vision is the Bakery segment. As consumers increasingly seek products that combine craftsmanship and wellness, suppliers are responding with innovations focused on digitalisation, energy efficiency, and controlled quality.

To meet these evolving market needs, Host 2025 will enhance the MIPPP – Milano Pane Pizza Pasta area, thanks in part to its partnership with the SIPAN Consortium, which will bring together some of the most important Italian bakery equipment manufacturers. MIPPP will be complemented by Bakery Square, an arena dedicated to education, events, competitions, and workshops to promote bakery culture. It will also host two major events: the Panettone World Championship and the European Pizza Championship.

The coffee and bar sector prepares for a specialty-driven future

Alongside the bakery sector, the bar and coffee world is also undergoing a remarkable transformation, reflecting the increasingly experiential nature of out-of-home consumption. From countless iced coffee recipes to nitro coffee made with liquid nitrogen, consumers are looking for unique, personalized products served in venues capable of delivering a fully immersive atmosphere.

Host 2025 will bring together the entire bar and coffee supply chain with SIC – International Coffee Exhibition, a global benchmark event that features all the major players in the industry, from green beans to the final cup. This year, SIC will also mark the much-anticipated return of the World Barista Championship to Milan, the world’s most prestigious competition for baristas.

In line with Host Milano’s unique layout, innovation will be the driving force not only in the bakery and bar segments but across the entire exhibition. Adjacent to the SIC area, the Gelato and Pastry sectors will showcase the very best in their fields, from machines and semi-finished products to accessories and ingredients.

A steadily growing international event

Host Milano continues to pursue a strategy of international expansion, aimed at engaging potential exhibitors, visitors, and stakeholders directly in the most strategic global markets.

In addition to its strong presence at the main global events in the sector, Host Milano is boosting its international profile with tailored initiatives, such as Host Arabia, a brand-new spin-off designed to create new business and networking opportunities in the professional hospitality sector. Organised by Fiera Milano in partnership with local operator Semark, the event will take place in Riyadh from December 15 to 17, 2025, alongside Saudi HORECA, creating a new strategic hub for innovation and networking in the heart of the Middle East.

The 44th edition of Host will be held at Fiera Milano, Rho, from October 17 to 21, 2025.
