The Italian frozen pizza giant Italpizza has inaugurated a new production facility in Caudry, Hauts-de-France, marking a pivotal step in its strategic and industrial growth. The €12 million investment will enable the company to scale up its production capacity to nearly 100 million pizzas per year at full capacity while positioning itself to penetrate Northern European markets more effectively.
Export-driven since its founding in 1991, Italpizza has long viewed France as a key market. The new facility will integrate over 30 years of expertise, helping Italpizza cement its status as Italy’s leading frozen pizza producer and one of Europe’s foremost suppliers of private-label and branded products.
The site’s modernization planned for 2024–2028, is set to create 150 jobs, with more than 70 already filled since February 2024. Italpizza’s president, Cristian Pederzini, described the move as a calculated bet on France’s growth potential: “France was one of the first markets I believed in. Over the past 30 years, we’ve built solid relationships and achieved widespread distribution across major retailers. This new facility is an important step toward our ambition to become Europe’s market leader.”
