Fattorie Garofalo, the world’s leading producer of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, has unveiled its latest retail concept at Maximall Pompeii, starting of a new strategy for the company’s retail channel. The opening underscores the brand’s commitment to promoting its values and heritage on a global scale, aligning its identity more closely with its physical retail presence.

The new format seeks to elevate Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO within the dynamic landscape of modern shopping centers, where consumer decisions are increasingly driven by experience and connection.

The new concept store of Fattorie Garofalo pays homage to its roots: a fully integrated, circular supply chain steeped in the traditions of rural craftsmanship. Nature, care, and shelter—principles deeply embedded in agrarian culture—form the backbone of the design. The store evokes the essence of an Italian dairy, complete with an open mozzarella-making laboratory and finishes in natural hues. Its pitched roof conveys a sense of warmth and shelter, while the central counter showcases vats brimming with mozzarella, burrata, and other cheeses, highlighting the meticulous attention the company devotes to its raw materials.

The menu, reimagined for modern sensibilities, offers a selection of simple, traditional fare that champions authentic ingredients. Dishes include Crostoni topped with melted Caciocavallo di Bufala, oven-baked Rutielli oozing with Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, and an array of naturally wholesome, indulgent ingredients.

Local heritage adds further nuance to the offering. The rosetta bread made with 100% natural sourdough takes inspiration from the ancient Panis Pompeii, a recipe dating back two millennia.
