Barilla launches limited-edition ‘Snowfall’ pasta

The Italian pasta brand Barilla has announced the launch of a new limited-edition pasta shape, Barilla Snowfall, in the U.S. market ahead of the holiday season. Barilla’s festive pasta aims to help home chefs “capture the essence” of the season, reimagining the brand’s classic pasta shapes.

The themed pasta shapes represent the elements of the season: tradition, with the depiction of the traditional snowflake; joy, with the poinsettiainspired ridges; and love, with a heart at the center, paying homage to the brand’s tagline “A Sign of Love.” Each snowflake’s intricate detail is designed to create a “flavourful and satisfying bite,” suitable for use in traditional pasta recipes as well as new culinary creations.

Angie Cotter, US pasta category marketing director at Barilla, told Foodbev Media: “Barilla has a long and proud history of bringing people together over shared meals, especially during the most wonderful time of the year. Since the 1960s, we’ve been at the forefront of developing unique pasta shapes, notably the beloved Valentine’s Day shape, Barilla Love, in a market where only 0.3% of new pasta product launches are seasonal launches. It’s been magical watching Barilla Snowfall come to life, and we hope that it inspires moments of togetherness, helping to create new memories with loved ones.”

Starting in early December, Barilla Snowfall pasta will be available exclusively at Walmart stores across the U.S. and online while supplies last.
