Following its recent acquisitions of Oioli, a high-quality Gorgonzola PDO producer, and a 50% stake in Saviola, a major player in Grana Padano PDO and Parmigiano Reggiano PDO markets, Italian dairy cooperative Latteria Soresina is pressing ahead with its growth strategy.
The cooperative’s 2023-2027 industrial plan outlines revenue growth through innovation, expected to contribute around 3% annually, and international expansion. Exports are anticipated to rise in line with established trends, having already increased by ten million euros in 2023 compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 118 million euros, with further double-digit growth expected by year-end.
The focus will remain on high-value dairy products, particularly PDO cheeses, with Latteria Soresina already a leading producer of Grana Padano PDO. The company anticipates closing 2024 with a revenue increase of over 4%, including contributions from the Oioli acquisition and its stake in Saviola.
Michele Falzetta, General Manager of Latteria Soresina, notes, “Our 2023-2027 strategic plan is both robust and pragmatic, addressing market shifts such as digital transformation and ecological transition. It aims for international growth, emphasizing innovation and brand development. The plan also includes a pilot project for downstream retail integration, launching soon under the ‘Gòodurie Soresina’ banner.”
