The one taking place on October 15-19 in Paris will be an edition under the ‘Own the change’ hashtag and will allow Sial to reaffirm its ambition to bring together the food ecosystem and respond to the major transformations taking place in the food industry. The numbers are in line with those of the last edition, held in 2018: 7,200 exhibitors from 120 countries, 250 thousand square meters of exhibition space, and 650 start-ups. Italy is confirmed, after France, as the second country with 700 exhibitors, confirming its role as the undisputed protagonist of the event.
“The food&beverage sector is in full ferment and evolution, and our network has identified some important consumption trends that have radicalized during and after the pandemic. Today, food is seen first and foremost as a pleasure, but it is conditioned mainly by three factors: safety, commitment to environmental issues, and convenience, which basically translates into packaging that is easy to use but also full of information to ensure transparency for the consumer,” explained Sial Group Director Nicolas Trenteseaux (in the picture above) during the press conference presenting the event.
