The New Jersey-based retail group Wakefern announced that its Bowl&Basket brand Specialty Gorgonzola and Walnut Ravioli has won a 2021 PLMA Salute to Excellence Award in the Food&Drink Pasta category.

Since 2020, Italian food specialties have been added to Wakefern’s massive rollout of its new private label strategy, aimed at offering consumers the best quality at the best price.
Pasta was the first Italian product category to be converted into Wakefern’s new private label range. Other Specialty products from Italy have then been added to the premium tier of Bowl&Basket dedicated to the most innovative high-quality items.
