Italy’s oldest fish canning company, Rizzoli Emanuelli, aims to be more and more environmentally friendly. Thanks to the choice of getting energy from renewable sources, the company has avoided in the two-year period 2019-2020 the emission into the atmosphere of about 111 tons of carbon dioxide from harmful fuels. Rizzoli Emanuelli has relied on 100% clean energy from Dolomiti Energia, which, using only energy generated by Italian renewable sources from the hydroelectric power plants in the Dolomites, allows the Parma-based canning company to make its energy consumption eco-sustainable.
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
“The commitment to environmental protection is the basis of Rizzoli Emanuelli’s business model. Hence the choice, starting already in 2014, to consolidate our green economy policies by investing in energy from renewable sources” – says the company’s logistics manager Raffaele Bianchi. Since then “we have contributed to avoiding the emission of significant quantities of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere: about 399 tons from 2015 to 2020. Ethics, respect for the environment and sustainability for us at Rizzoli Emanuelli are fundamental values. For this reason we try to promote green practices in every field of activity for a cleaner and more sustainable future for everyone.”
