On the occasion of Anuga 2019 trade show, the Italian balsamic vinegar leading company Ponti presented its latest innovations. “Here in Cologne we are meeting our historical customers to present some innovations that we launched this year in Italy and abroad” – owner Giacomo Ponti (in the picture above) told Italianfood.net on the sidelines of Anuga. Together with the traditional products based on Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI (balsamic vinegar of Modena PGI), this year Ponti presented a new range of barbecue sauces and apple vinegar-based juices.
FROM APPLE TO BARBECUE: PONTI INNOVATES VINEGAR
Apple HD is a condiment based on apple cider vinegar and apple juice. This dense blend is obtained after an aging period, and it can be used on top of a wide range of dishes such as fried fish, raw meat etc. It can be also drunk with water, both smooth and sparkling, or mixed with sparkling wine such as Prosecco, Franciacorta or Champagne. Then there is the Pomegranate Dolce Agro, which is an interesting condiment based on red wine vinegar and pomegranate juice: it is a superfood, both light and perfumed.
As for Ponti barbecue sauces, they are premium products based on premium ingredients: one of them is more intense, as it is made with wine Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI, while the other one is more delicate, made with 100% Italian apple cider vinegar. “Premium products and high-quality are a must for Ponti production since more than 150 years – said Giacomo Ponti -. Offering customers the highest quality is our long term strategy.”
