Carrefour Testing a New Format Convenience Store

Retail giant Carrefour has opened a new format convenience store – Halle de Clichy – in Paris. It offers a wide range of traditional fresh produce, digital services, and a food services area. Presently, the retailer is testing the new concept through this outlet, which has been designed to propagate the group’s mission of food transition.

A WIDE RANGE OF PRODUCTS

The store offers around 1,200 fresh products – a quarter of which are 100% organic and Carrefour Quality Line products. It includes a loose fruit and vegetable stand, fishmonger and butchery sections, and an extensive dairy offering. The sales staff have been trained to give cooking advice to shoppers if requested.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES BY CARREFOUR

Halle de Clichy offers a number of digital services including online access to more than 15,000 products. It is equipped with a pick-up point, where customers can collect their online orders without any extra charges. It also offers a parcel pick-up point and home delivery services, apart from traditional, and self-service checkouts. The store also has an 18-seater restaurant that offers freshly-prepared sandwiches, salads, quiches, and hot or cold dishes, as well as a section dedicated to ready-to-eat meals.
