At SIAL 2018, ‘Bamboo pesto’ by Bamboo Italia Consortium won the Italian Food Award 2018 in the Preserves & Sauces category. Fabrizio Pecci, President of the Consortium, talked about this brand new products line with Italianfood.net. “We are very proud – he said – we have won the Italian Food Award. Our pesto is very similar to traditional pesto, but it is much lighter. In fact, some university researchers consider bamboo shoots as one of the healthiest product in the world. We are indeed starting to produce many different products lines based on them”.
