After many marketing researches on snacks consumption and global trends, Italian dairy company Granarolo decided to make a new kind of cheese snack. It was presented at Cibus 2018 – the international food fair in Parma. In the following exclusive interview with Italianfood.net, International marketing director of Granarolo Ioanna Stavropoulou presents the new product. Snack consumption – says Stavropoulou – is growing worldwide. US consumers buy snacks 8 time per month. As global consumers are looking for snacks that are good but also healthy and innovative, Granarolo decided to make this new cheese snack which is made using only one ingredient: Italian cheese. Our milk is transformed in cheese, then baked in the oven to obtain a product with a very high nutritional value. It is also gluten free and suitable for vegetarians and low in carbs. We believe this new launch will put us in the right position to get our brand more and more known on international markets. The new snack will also be the absolute protagonist of Granarolo stand in the following exhibitions, such as the Summer Fancy Food Show 2018 in New York, at the end of June.
