Valbona launches Veganette

Valbona, the Veneto-based company known for its vegetable preserves, has launched vegan-certified sliced vegetables as an alternative to cold cuts for tasty appetizers, snacks, sandwiches, and salads. The Veganette are free from gluten, allergens, dairy, soy, and egg but are rich in Omega-3 thanks to the use of hemp and linseed. Valbona uses natural and fresh products to guarantee natural taste, one of the challenges of many vegetarian and vegan products.

Healthy and time-saving

In recent years, we have seen an increasing offer of healthier, functional and vegan products, but as it often happens when a market is booming it becomes essential to focus on quality, said Federico Masella, marketing manager at Valbona. Unlike other sliced vegetables where vegetables are almost invisible, these are always our main ingredient, Masella said. Veganette, part of Valbona’s “Magie della Natura” fresh food brand, have met strong interest in Italy and are now ready to be exported into international markets where consumers are particularly sensitive to quality plant-based products, the manager said. Valbona has invested in innovative technologies to ensure that vegetables can be perfectly sliced. The product is “time-saving” and versatile. The company proposes a variety of Veganette with artichokes, tomatoes, spinach, and peppers.
