New low-sodium mozzarella, frozen vegetable burgers and a mascarpone with a 9-month shelf life are the new products Italian leading dairy group Granarolo is bringing to the fast-changing U.S. foodservice and retail markets, the group’s business unit director Filippo Marchi said.
With 30% less sodium and 50% less fat than traditional mozzarella, Granarolo new mozzarella intends to meet growing demand for healthier food, especially in the US, said Marchi at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. The group also unveiled its new vegetable burgers and the rebranding of the 15-year old organic line.
