Benessere Animale (the name stands for Animal Welfare in Italian) is the new line of cold cuts that Fumagalli Industria Alimentari presented on the occasion of the Cibus 2016 exhibition. The launch highlighted the company’s desire to produce cruelty-free products with special attention to animal welfare, already required by some of the stricter regulations of several Northern European countries. According to the statement released by the company, products of the Benessere Animale line “are made of raw materials traceable from farm to table, supplied by 100% Fumagalli owned chains. The animals on the farm are kept in spaces 25% larger than those required by EU regulations; the pigs are reared on straw and animal feeds that are of plant-origin only.”
