Crédit Agricole and Sace allocate €150 million to internationalization

A joint venture for the internationalization of authentic Italian food. Cariparma Crédit Agricole and Sace planned investment of 150 million euro to boost growth in foreign markets of companies that are part of the CibusèItalia Pavilion.
The initiative, presented at Expo at a meeting entitled ‘Roads into new markets. Synergies between tradefairs, banks and enterprises’, aims to support the competitiveness of the companies involved (more than 260 excellences from numerous Italian regions representing as many as 13 sectors) that will benefit from easier access to credit with quicker procedures. The agreement also includes the reinforcement of the joint venture in support of food companies through the “Trust Campaign” initiative, which foresees lines of credit dedicated to the economic and financial needs of specific businesses in the preserves sector.
Numerous times during the debate, which involved the Cariparma Crédit Agricole managing director Hughes Brasseur, vice president and the ceo of Fiere di Parma Annalisa Sassi and Antonio Cellie, entrepreneurs Giuseppe Ambrosi and Cesare Ponti and managers of Cariparma Crédit Agricole Gianluca Borrelli and Alessio Foletti, showed the need for a ‘system’ and that to lead towards greater internationalization higher synergy between companies, financing banks and distribution networks is required.
The event also presented a survey on export trends by Denis Pantini, head of the The Observatory on Italian Agricultural Cooperation, Nomisma, which showed very encouraging results. Since 2007 foreign turnover in the agricultural sector recorded a jump of + 42% compared to 2007, with a value added growth of 5 percent.
