Benvolio bets on ‘wellness oils’

A new range of a series of seed oils and olive oils is appearing on the shelves of the big supermarket chains. The so-called “wellness oils”, which has five Piave 1938 references – Delicate tasting Grapeseed Oil, Fragrant tasting Sunflower Oil, Rich tasting Turkish Wheat Seed Oil, Fresh tasting Soybeans Oil and Classic tasting Extra Virgin Olive Oil – has impressive new packaging and eye-catching graphics. During 2015, in fact, Benvolio had been wanting to refresh its brand image, thus demonstrating a clear desire for change and continued commitment to its consumers both nationally and internationally. “Today the culture of vegetable oil, as an alternative to olive oil, is more widespread than in the past”, says the company. “Consumers demand clear, credible and relevant functional benefits. It is becoming a trend to chose seed oils as a healthy option, linked to its functionality. Piave was created to respond to this trend through the properties contained in its seeds, which are carefully selected based on our experience that spans nearly a century. The evolving competitive landscape and our strategy to develop exports require a technologically advanced product, which is able to offer consumers clear, credible and relevant functional benefits. For this reason, the new line of Piave 1938 oils provides an excellent balance between health and taste, able to enhance both pleasure and well-being”.

The company has annual sales of around € 10 million and exports in Europe, as well as to North America and China
