The Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco DOC and the Consortium for the Protection of Grana Padano PDO have officially launched “Here’s to EU – Momento Perfetto,” an ambitious three-year promotional program co-funded by the European Union. Aimed at strengthening the presence of authentic Italian denominations in key international markets, the initiative focuses on Germany, Poland, and Denmark to educate both professionals and consumers on the heritage of European Protected Designations of Origin.
A strategic synergy for global markets
Running from May 2026 to April 2029, the campaign leverages the universal appeal of the “Perfect Moment” concept. By pairing Prosecco DOC with Grana Padano PDO, the Consortia highlight the versatility and lifestyle appeal of these iconic products. Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, emphasized that the collaboration is a strategic move to reinforce the value of Italian certified products, positioning them as essential ambassadors of an authentic, convivial lifestyle. Renato Zaghini, President of the Grana Padano Consortium, echoed this sentiment, noting that the partnership tells a story of quality, tradition, and the collective work of thousands of producers.

Targeted activities across Europe
The campaign has already seen significant engagement in Germany, with appearances at the Frizzante Festival in Berlin and the Rolling Pin Convention in Düsseldorf. These events provided a platform for masterclasses, guided tastings, and networking sessions with Horeca buyers and food influencers. Similar initiatives are currently rolling out in Poland, including high-profile events in Warsaw and a planned retail campaign across major chains like Carrefour and Auchan.

Investing in future professionals
Beyond consumer-facing events, a cornerstone of this project is educational outreach to the next generation of chefs and restaurant managers. Starting in 2026, the Consortia will host training sessions at culinary schools and hospitality institutes throughout Germany, Poland, and Denmark. These modules will cover technical aspects of food and wine pairing, the history of the denominations, and the significance of EU quality certifications in maintaining global market standards.
