Following its partnership with Piano City Milano — the event that transformed the Lombardy capital into an open-air concert hall this May — the Consortium of Prosciutto di Parma PDO now makes its debut in Perugia as the official sponsor of Umbria Jazz. Running from July 11 to 20, the festival is a cornerstone of the Italian jazz calendar and ranks among the most prestigious jazz events on the international stage. Over ten days, Perugia will buzz with activity, offering visitors and aficionados an exceptional blend of music and culture.

Prosciutto di Parma PDO will have a dedicated branded space on Corso Vannucci in the heart of the city, inviting guests to engage in a series of interactive experiences centred on sharing and taste. This presence offers a prime opportunity to communicate the authenticity of this Italian excellence to all lovers of quality — whether in music or gastronomy — through the clear, direct messaging embodied in the claim “Piacere, Prosciutto di Parma.” Visitors can enjoy complimentary tastings, exclusive merchandise, capture moments at a photobooth, or try their luck at the Prosciutto di Parma-branded wheel of fortune.

Live music, especially when performed outdoors on summer evenings, perfectly captures the pleasure of togetherness that has always defined our product,” said Alessandro Utini, President of the Consortium of Prosciutto di Parma PDO. “Umbria Jazz is a must-attend not only for jazz enthusiasts but also for those seeking to experience and share the unique atmosphere music creates. For us, it’s an opportunity to support a culturally significant event with over fifty years of history while engaging with a wide and diverse audience, including a significant international contingent. In this evocative setting, we will share our story with authenticity and simplicity, offering moments of playfulness and lightness while inviting visitors to discover the centuries-old tradition underpinning our gastronomic excellence.”

The stand will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering a packed programme of activities. Each evening from midnight, visitors can round off the day on a “sweet note” with Prosciutto di Parma PDO tastings at the Secret Bistrot, which will host much-anticipated live performances and jam sessions.

Adding a special highlight to the festival, on Saturday, 12 July from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Prosciutto di Parma PDO stand will welcome special guest Francesco Panella. The restaurateur and television personality will challenge visitors to test their knowledge of this iconic symbol of Made in Italy, celebrated worldwide.
